Social Equality
Mission.
Problem introduction.
During the last 30 years the world has made enormous and unprecedented social progress at different levels. Books such as “Factfulness” by Hans Rosling or “Enlightenment now” by Steven Pinker has invited all of us to recognize and celebrate the progress achieved we have made in the different social challenges we are facing.
Some of the graphs below demonstrate this progress achieved. These representations do not want to conclude that we have already reached a socially equal world. They only seek to demonstrate that transformative change is possible and that we still have a long way to go to continue promoting these positive social changes.
However, many challenges remain in terms of inequality, as is pointed out by the Nobel prize Joseph Stiglitz, who highlights the great disparity among different population segments in the lack of access to basic quality service.

The number of people living with per capita household consumption below 1.90 international dollar per day has declined from 42% of the global population to 10% in almost 30 years, being expected to decline to 6% in 2030.

The share of the Global population with access to basic services like electricity, sanitation, water or clean cooking technologies has increased in the last 30 years achieving enormous social progress.

The proportion of women in national parliaments has not stopped growing since 2007. There are still a lot of challenges both in the political or professional life, but this graph shows that progress is already being generated.
Mission description.
This mission seeks to generate a positive impact at the social level, guaranteeing basic rights and equal opportunities to all individuals, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, nationality or disability. Equality does not mean that we all have to be equal, equality is guaranteeing access to equal opportunities and the right of every person to progress, achieve well-being and a dignified life.
